What we're for
There is a great deal of Christian merchandise in the world and much of it is disposable — a verse in a script font on a thin blank, bought once and worn twice. We think that quietly communicates something untrue: that faith is an afterthought, a novelty, a slogan.
We'd rather make fewer things, better. Artwork that stands on its own before you read a word of it. Garments heavy enough to last a decade. Pieces you reach for on a Tuesday, not just on a Sunday.
Our values
Scripture is the brief, not the decoration
A verse is not a graphic element. When Scripture appears on something we make, the passage shapes the design rather than the design borrowing the passage for credibility.
Say the true thing plainly
Our returns policy tells you what we won't take back. Our shipping page separates production time from delivery time instead of quoting the flattering number. If something is a limitation, we'd rather write it down than let you discover it.
Make only what is wanted
Everything is printed after it is ordered. The clothing industry produces enormous volumes that are never worn and eventually burned or buried, and we find that difficult to square with the instruction given in the first pages of Scripture — to tend the garden and keep it.
Beauty is not a distraction
The church has always made things: illuminated manuscripts, stained glass, carved stone. Craft has never been separate from devotion. We work across eight visual traditions because faith has never had only one look.
Quiet over loud
Some people want to declare their faith across their chest and we make things for them. Others want to carry it without announcing it, and we make things for them too. Neither is more faithful than the other.
What we are not
We're not a church, a ministry, or a substitute for a congregation. We're a small company making good things for Christians, and we'd never want to be mistaken for more than that.
